left exact functor

1. Definition

Let \(\mathcal{C}, \mathcal{D}\) be finitely complete categories and \(\mathcal{F}: \mathcal{C} \rightarrow \mathcal{D}\) a functor. Then \(\mathcal{F}\) is said to be left exact, if \(\mathcal{F}\) preserves preserves finite limits
