homotopy relative to the empty set

Let \((X,\mathcal{T}_X)\) and \((Y,\mathcal{T}_Y)\) be topological spaces and \(f,g: X \rightarrow Y\) be continuous maps. Then the homotopy relative to \(\emptyset\) is defined as homotopy relative to \(\emptyset\).
